Description

Join us on Saturday, April 26, from 10 AM to noon for a guided, family-friendly nature walk at Camp Discovery in Blythewood, SC, co-hosted by Camp Discovery and Congaree Land Trust as part of the City Nature Challenge.

Explore 116 acres of conserved forests, meadows, creeks, and wetlands, protected under Congaree Land Trust. Since 1985, Camp Discovery has provided hands-on nature education to over 40,000 youth, fostering a deep connection with the natural world. Founded in 1992, Congaree Land Trust has conserved more than 99,000 acres in central South Carolina through voluntary conservation easements – protecting the land, water and way of life we all cherish.

A nature-focused educational activity for children will also be available. Participants may also bring their mobile phones to use the iNaturalist app. Instruction will be provided. Please download the app prior to arriving.

Registration is required, and space is limited. Participants must be able to walk on uneven terrain. This walk is not suitable for strollers and is not handicap accessible.

Don’t miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in nature with your family!
